Tony Lawrence is the head of the defence policy and strategy programme at the International Centre for Defence and Security, Tallinn, Estonia. His research focuses on various aspects of defence and deterrence in the Baltic region including the defence policies of the Baltic states and other regional actors, defence cooperation, the role of NATO and the EU, military components of deterrence and defence, and the progress and impact of Russia’s war in Ukraine.
